Mist Map Privacy Policy
Mist Map is an offline personal route map for walking and cycling. This app is designed to let users record, import, export, and manage their own route data locally.
1. Information We Access
- Location data: the app requests access to your device location so it can record your walking or cycling route.
- Route and backup files you choose: if you import or export GPX, KML, KMZ, explored-area, or backup files, the app accesses only the files you explicitly select.
- App Store purchase status: Apple may provide the app with verified purchase and original-acquisition information so Mist Map can determine whether Pro is unlocked.
2. How the Information Is Used
- To record your route while you are moving.
- To display your historical explored paths on the map.
- To import GPX files into your local history.
- To export route history, explored-area data, or local backups.
- To unlock complete route-history access for eligible Pro users.
3. Data Storage
Route history, imported GPX data, and exported GPX files are stored locally on your device unless you explicitly choose to share or export them using system features such as AirDrop or the iOS share sheet.
Free users can view full details for their latest 20 completed routes. Earlier routes are archived in the interface, but remain stored locally, remain part of the explored map, and are not deleted by this limit.
4. Data Sharing
Mist Map does not require an account and does not upload your route history to a developer-operated server.
Your data is shared only when you intentionally export or share a GPX file yourself.
Mist Map Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled by Apple. The app checks verified App Store entitlements and original-acquisition information, but does not receive or store your payment-card details.
5. Tracking and Advertising
Mist Map does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not track you across apps or websites.
6. Permissions
Foreground location access supports map display while using the app. Background route recording requires Always Allow location access; Mist Map does not present foreground-only permission as sufficient for background recording.
7. Your Choices
- You can stop route recording at any time inside the app.
- You can delete route history inside the app.
- You can revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings.

免费用户可以完整查看最近 20 条已完成路线。更早的路线会在界面中进入归档，但仍保存在设备本地、继续参与迷雾地图展示，也不会因为该限制被删除。
4. 数据共享
迷雾地图不要求用户注册账号，也不会将你的路线历史上传到开发者自有服务器。
只有在你主动导出或分享 GPX 文件时，相关数据才会被你自行分享给其他目标设备或应用。

5. 跟踪与广告
迷雾地图不使用第三方广告 SDK，也不会跨应用或跨网站跟踪你的行为。
6. 权限说明
前台定位权限用于应用使用期间的地图展示。后台路线记录必须获得“始终允许”定位权限；Mist Map 不会将仅限使用期间的权限表现为足以支持后台记录。
7. 你的选择权
- 你可以随时在应用内停止路线记录。
- 你可以在应用内删除历史路线数据。
- 你可以随时在 iOS 设置中撤销定位权限。
